The thing about being superficial is that you can still be who you are inside, regardless of what your actions are on the outside. Have you ever wondered who the person next to you in bed is? Like really... there you are both so intimately close but you don't really know THEM. What about when you kiss, lips pressed against each other, some tongue, so what? Just motions, mute and cold.
But then someone pierces your made-up projection and there you are vulnerable, broken, hurt, and you couldn't be more complete... you hate it.
